Chances of Getting Pregnant During Ovulation

Women have the best chances of getting pregnant during ovulation. That’s a fact. But what exactly is ovulation? Truth to tell, the matter of conception and the whole reproductive process is mind-boggling.

Common understanding of the whole concept of ovulation is limited to the process initiated by the production of estrogen (a woman’s primary hormone) brought about by the release of egg. This means that if eggs are not released, estrogen will not be produced and ovulation cannot happen. Tough, isn’t it?

Nowadays, women lead such active and busy lives that the cases of women experiencing reduced chances of getting pregnant while ovulating are steadily increasing. Women who are under severe physical and emotional stress, have too low body weight, and suffer from eating disorders are found to have very low levels of estrogen, and as such, do not ovulate. They then lose their best chances of getting pregnant during ovulation.

It’s a vicious cycle. Many women have long been looking for answers to this problem without much success. You sometimes wonder if, had there been a Season 11 of Sex and the City, would Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte have had this problem? And since these characters claim to represent today’s modern woman, would they have had the answers?

Haha, ok I got a little off topic.  If you are having problems getting pregnant, my recommendation is to go to either a fertility clinic or a doctor to see if there is anything that can be done for your specific circumstance.
