Although yet to be supported by scientific surveys, an MRI study conducted on couples having sex shows that the man on top or the missionary position is one of most effective way to mount when planning a baby.

One of the best positions to conceive is the “man on top”. This allows deeper penetrations which will give sperm cells a shorter distance to travel to reach the egg. It also permits the sperm to rest within the cervix for a good 20 minutes given that a pillow is placed underneath the hips of the woman. This will create an angle the will make the womb a cradle. This makes it the best position to conceive.

Another one of the best positions to conceive is when a woman is all fours. Just like the missionary, this creates a cradle which allows the sperm to rest inside the cervix.
